There are not many February ceremonies in Zambia. The N”cwala ceremonies in Eastern province, is the only ceremony in February.

N’cwala, Eastern Province
By the Ngoni people, Paramount Chief Mpenzeni, of Chipata District.
The Ncwala is held to pay homage to the ancestral spirits and commemorate victories during the migration from South Africa. The Ngoni people fought many tribal wars before they settled in Zambia. The Ngoni people also give praise to God for giving them fresh crops in the fields, during this ceremony.
The Ncwala was revived by Paramount Chief Mpezeni III, in 1980.
